I have actually had to raise a new PMR for this version it seems like the Top Updates do not populate. I have now added it to 3 different instances and all the same issue. The support team at IBM have created a new instance of this and are seeing the same thing and are currently investigating. Any one else noticed this one? Everything else is working fine and we can see no errors as of yet. I will let you know when IBM give me an update.

Looking at this do you know if in this version and running on Windows for Connections the Redis traffic is now required to use SSH as the previous versions you couldn’t even do it with Windows? I am wondering if this is the actual issue and if you don’t secure it then the traffic won’t flow?

To be honest – I don’t know, yet. But I am having the same issue as you (redis cli not showing anything when creating a community) and have come to the same conclusion, that I need to test if this is a mandatory thing now (even though I am using 6.0.0.0 right now, where it always used to work without it). I will not be able to test it before Friday, though, as I am traveling.

Just learned that secured SSH communication for Redis *is* mandatory. I’ll have to try this again on Friday.

Hi Martti, so I have setup SSH on the Windows server and tested the Redis connection but still no traffic. In the end I had to delete the pods and then let the containers rebuild then I again checked that traffic and all is working. It is also populating the Top Updates. I now just need to work out how I get Putty to run as a service. I must admit it certainly is not geared towards a Windows Connections build even this solution for the SSH seems very half hearted on IBMs part.

I had 6.0.0.2 set up and just gave it a quick try before I deleted it, but I was under the impression that it was working. Can you do me a favor? Invite User B from User A to your network and follow him. Then log into User B and accept the invitation and in Profiles on User B’s profile enter an activity stream entry with an @-mention of User A. And then check the Orient Me page of User A. I think this is what I tested and it worked. I know that it did not show any old / existing content in Top Updates.

Hi Martti, I have indeed tried that and there is still no Top Updates. I have had another reply from IBM and they have confirmed that in all their test environments that they tried after I raised this also do not have any top updates showing. They asked for some detailed logs and are looking into it but it does seem to be a wide spread issue.

        Hi Richard,

I have created a new environment and I seem to have the same issue. Did you open a PMR on this? If so, can you share the PMR Number with me, please?

Thank you! If I learn something before the PMR solves it I will let you know.

            Hi Martti,
I have gone through this and it is not showing any traffic at all. After creating the new community it was still blank just sat there connected listening. I think this may well be the problem 🙂 have you managed to fix this in your dev environment?
